Over the rainbow, under the bridge

30, 40, 50 - none of it has bothered me. I just don't get it when people panic about it.

Nope not remotely phased, it just happened. I know a few who were mortified though and wanted it to pass by unnannounced. It's just a day older!

Happy 40th!

Happy 40th! For some reason I had a bit of a mid life crisis for two weeks just before my 45th. No idea why I'll be 50 at the end of this year and I'm looking forward to that

age is but only a number to represent our years since gracing the planet earth.

since turning 40(few years ago)

my mind and body having been having an argument.

body says no !!

mind says yes !!

7 years on, we have come to a compromise.

but have to agree with the statement.

Yowser!! Try looking at different airports? Maybe fly to a bigger airport then get an internal flight closer to home.

Something to look forward to though.

Had a difficult time accepting turning 30, no problems at all with the big 40, but again at turning 50 I'm struggling a bit...seeing the beginning of the end. Still, I can at least book a SAGA holiday, get cheaper car insurance, and buy a place in a retirement village now...lol. Trouble is, there's now a greater need to find fun while still young enough to enjoy it...lol...offers of fun times are more than welcome ladies...lol... :--)

On my 40th I had a party that started at 11am and went through to 4am. It was a growing old disgracefully barbecue. Loads of my mate's from way back turned up we had brilliant music lots of food and drink a few musicians played bits an bobs. Had a bit of a hangover the next day but it certainly softened the blow of what many consider to be a significant birthday.

I'd like to have been able to celebrate my 40th but actually turning 40 wasn't and hasn't been an issue for me.

I don't think turning 40 is the big deal it was in the olden days, say 40 years ago for example.

I hated turning 30, didn't bother me being 40 and yes my life began in my 40's. I was married for 21 years, it ended when I was 42, I now have my own life and free to do as I please when I please. And at 45 I have joined the naughty Nanna's club last week when my 1st grand child arrived.
