"Ditto for yours Evie. ahhhh, thank you x" Update to the latest iTunes software on your latest Mac or PC and then attach your iPod or iPhone via USB. You should be able to transfer any music you previously bought via iTunes to your latest icloud account. You can have an icloud account even if you only own a PC. | |||

You can have an icloud account even if you only own a PC." the issue is i haven't used iTunes in maybe 6 years, i had very little purchased through iTunes - it was all ripped from cds. also my account was linked to a now defunkt email account so had to set up a new apple ID. I really think its just delete everything time | |||

I really think its just delete everything time " The ripped music files should still be on the computer you ripped them to. Have you tried searching for an itunes or a music folder on the hard drive? Even if itunes has "lost" the music directory, if the files are there, it's easy enough to consolidate everything. | |||
