I bought some underwear online that looked great and thought would look good on me but they came this morning I tried them on and have'nt stopped laughing.,they look that bad.

anyone had any similar experiences?

Yes quite a few times.....

The worst was a fishnet body stocking. It took me ages to get the bloody thing on and when I looked in the mirror.

Oh YES! Now when I see something I like I imagine myself in itand not the 20 yr old flawless model wearing it......Saves me a fortune lol. Pip

yes.. A babydoll thing. The black net is so sheer and not floaty I look pregnant in it..

Its going back, I'll chose something else...

I bought a red baby doll thingmajig years ago and it was bledi horrible and tacky. The frill bit at the bottom was all scratchy and the size was waaaay out. That'll teach me to impulse buy when I think I see a bargain

Very few shops stock lingerie in my size, and if they do, they have very limited choice.

I more or less have to buy lingerie online. I never expect it to fit or look good. Occasionally I am pleasantly surprised but not usually.

I bought a very nice babydoll from Figleaves earlier this year.

Sometimes ive had some shocking stuff turn up but ive also had some fabulous stuff too

I don't buy things like bras though,they need to be fitted properly so would be a waste of time getting them online

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Nearly everything I have bought on line has been a disappointment and time consuming. I like to feel the material and check for scratchy bits.

I stick to just buying hotels, theatre tickets and travel online now.

nah ...i do too ...i think its because i have no boobs so cant wear bra and generally lacking in shape means that most lengerie just doesnt look right on me

Likewise a non perfect body rarely brings out the 'sexy' in underwear.

They are showcased on and by models for a reason.

I have to disagree with you there. Having a non perfect body, wearing the right type of sexy underwear works wonders for me, and I'm not blowing my own trumpet just going by what I'm told!!

Yeah I guess women do have a better range of 'sexy'

'Sexy' is very often in mind for a lot of women, so you know if it makes you feel sexy you are gonna knock it outta the park.

For me tho big knickers rule my world

Nope, your not the only one. I have tried the dressing up thing, but after 10 mins play my stockings have rolled down and I'm getting bones in places they're definitely not welcome. Commando is the way to go

I like a nice matching bra and knickers. That's when I feel my sexiest! Forget hold ups, they don't get on with my fat thighs! Occasionally I go for a basque or a negligee/babydoll/dress type thing and I do own a body stocking but i'm definitely at my happiest in bra/kinx combo. M&S is my fav place for bras! x
