"Hello Onny, "When you say public sector, do you mean nurses, firefighters etc ?" It is a financial fact that some jobs generate wealth and some jobs do not, quite the reverse. We need a large proportion of wealth generating jobs to pay for the essential services and if we do not have that, everyone is worse off as we have higher taxes. Simple economics which in practice is not that simple but that's the basic theory. Have you calculated that for Scotland in _iew of your inclination for independence? Alec " I apologise unreservedly if I've done anything to to suggest I'm inclined towards Separation.

No new jobs around here but the arsole (pincher) ie tory a.licker reckons were swimming in them.....its all lies i tell ya " And people in part time or zero hours jobs don't count on the register either.

"Anyone would think there's an election coming." Very little about the austerity cuts that come in from April. If the growth forecasts are correct that is good news.

"Bingo and pensioner bonds, pension pots with no caps and no need for an annuity. I wonder if they know their voters? I can hear Wishy telling us he knew all of this was coming. " Bingo levy was always way too high.... Pensioner bond will be interesting depending on what rate they set them out.. because people will take money out of banks and put them there instead... unless banks now respond by increasing saving rates... pension pots with no annuity is an interesting concept... especially the 55% levy going so it will be 20% instead for most

"Milliband giving it a real go in response, you have to love a tryer!" It's too short on detail to be effective. The Deputy Speaker is doing his best to bring the House to order. Ed Balls and Georgie Boy joking around during PMQs and continuing now during Ed Miliband won't help either.

He is going to have to find some real policies on which to base his election campaign because he won't win the economic debate. As for Balls and Osborne, childish beyond belief.

That one is obvious but they will still have to win over enough of the apathetic to have a single party government. Although I think they'd like to keep Danny.

I don't think the contribution is in doubt, it was more a point I think, about the numbers of those employed who contribute towards economic growth, and that could keep us debating for hours!

" this may well be the biggest question mark .... the shares in insurance companies dropped today on this news... the other question is going to be "who is giving out the free independent advice" that osbourne committed to, is it going to be government setting up a new dept within the pension service... which may well be what the DWP would like to link it with flat rate pensions... or outsource it to the voluntary sector someone like MAS (Money Advisory Service) or even pay IFA's to do the work... the devil is going to be in the detail.... speaking for myself in the job i do.. i'd quite like to do that!
