Crikey Kev, lasses like her dont grow on trees..... handcuff her quick and march her off to the church....

If she doesn't mind you going to the footie on sunday, she wont mind you having 10 pints with the lads afterwards either, lol.....

Forgoe the match for her......i'm sure she will thank you in "kind" for your sacrifice.

Besides, there's always match of the day for highlights.

And that is why there should be a NWAF rule!

To the OP, it's a ploy, you will be made to suffer post game. Ten pints should take the edge of whatever is being yelled/thrown at you though

I say this to my husband all the time even tho I hate football I often say "why not go to the pub and watch the game?"

His compromise is I pay for the sports channels and multiroom so I dont have to suffer the constant football and he gets his fix - everyone is happy well if you ignore the cat jumping out her skin everytime Steven shouts at the ref!!

I say go out on the saturday and enjoy the game on sunday.

Are you mad?

Take her to lunch on Sunday.

It's a game of football, you can go to others.

If it's a REALLY crucial match SO much the better if you miss it to be with her.

What's more important? 22 blokes kicking a bag of air, or making her happy?

Think carefully before you answer.....

First thing i say to a woman when i meet them is that football is my number one love and that will not change.

Maybe thats why I'm single

To the OP she sounds too good to be true. Not many women out there will say that.

Taking a Woman to the Match isn't for me unless she supported the same Team which this Lady doesn't, this was arranged just as a date until I remembered about the Match but she was very understanding so I'll make the effort on Saturday

I guess I am lost at why it is such a big deal...you are still going out, even a day sooner...if it had been a case of having to postpone..and she said sure, no worries go to the match, we will do it some other time" maybe I would question whether she was testing or not...but as she is still getting to go out...what's the problem?lol

Well I took her out last night and it was only a first date type of thing so I had the best of both Worlds, now if I had to choose between the Match and a date with an attractive Lady then theres always match of the Day except todays game was special hence the dilemma
