It's sounds like you got the raw end of the deal. Is the school doing anything to help your daughter ? It does sound like everyone needed some space to cool down. Staying with her parents sounds like a safe environment for your daughter.

We all have rows though & mothers & daughters can be a lethal combination with all those hormones flying around.

Does your daughter's school have a Pastoral Care policy & does she have someone to talk to?

Just being there , when she needs you. That's what a child wants & needs. Just to listen.

Hopefully it will all settle down soon.

Sounds like you all need some space and you need some help . Maybe get together with ex and chat and see how you can all go forward and help your girl ...... Hormones and stress can trigger things you maybe need to all look at the bigger pic and get some help and just being open and chatting will help, If theres no place to go call the Samaritans as They know who to go to . Your not alone theres help out there . x

Iona Skye mentioned pastoral care at school. My teenage daughter has had problems with being bullied at school recently and the pastoral care system (and staff) have been brilliant. They're unbiased, trained, totally confidential and have a wealth of experience. If you and the ex haven't already done so do consider talking to them.

Single parenting, whichever parent you are, is so difficult especially during teen years. If you (and the ex) can try to bite your tongue and get on the same side to deal with the problem together. Less stressful for you and hopefully more beneficial for your daughter too.

Meanwhile I can offer a virtual hug. Won't help a great deal, but you're not alone with having a troubled teen x

"apparently the mum has smashed the kids tv "

You're the better parent by the sounds of it.

Is it possible to meet your daughter and take her out for tea and have a chat with her?

Yep I can imagine the problems a single parent has. I have the girls once a fortnight so I Don t get the grief 24/7, I was the discipline when we lived together I started early with the consistent message my ex took an easy path,. I remember what I was like And the strieff I caused my mother and father not easy,,,

I ve tried ringing my girls mobile to go and see herunfortunately it goes straight to her answering service I rang her on the grandparents landline this morning,
