Great Wyrley

For some random strange reason I have this in my mind.

Is it right that the milk protein shake is better for consumption before sleep as it aids the recovery better for muscles when resting?

Why the fuck I have that in my mind I dont know my body is clearly not a temple lol

Its just bro science. Apparently it is better before bed but you can only use so much protein before your making expensive poo

Tuna steak.

25g protein per 100 g, virtually no sugar or fat.

Rest must be water then huh?

Guys, you need to educate yourselves; protein powder is the biggest marketing scam of the millennium. Are you a professional athlete? Then it's unlikely you need the extra protein, choose protein rich food but not too much and include as part of a balanced diet.

One reliable source says that the body can only process c 25g of protein at any one time, hence why it is often recommended to have smaller more frequent meals.

correct.

As is the post on protein shakes being a total rip off.

if the goal is to be fit and healthy you dont need protein supps just an appropriate diet.

Good article on protein requirements. Protein supplements are exactly that, supplements. It is a cost effective way of meeting protein requirements. You seen the price of beef and chicken these days?!

Normal milk or milkshake is still quite high protein. Nearly 20 g a pint

I drink 2-3 pints of milk a day. Half pint a time in different times and the results are amazing. No processed or artificial protein complements. Beef, chicken, Tuna, eggs. Vegetable food that are rich in protein like porridge (11%) and its very cheap and rich in fiber and carbohydrates. Beens, pees, chickpees, lentils and whole grain bread.

phd diet whey is my choice of shake as trying to get ripped up a bit more for summer!

one of the only ones i've found that doesnt leave me feeling bloated!

and my opinion is if you want to pack on some muscle you need a good protein supplement as cooking every couple of hours is hardly convenient!

Try extreme nutrition - extreme whey. I haven't found a nicer tasting shake yet, they also do blueberry cheesecake flavour.

I find the diet wheys can actually be pretty calorific when the only extra ingredient is green tea extract. Would rather just have the green tea and a t5!

If you're looking for a mass gainer, I would suggest mutant mass, working up slowly to the recommended 'dosage' but the only way to build muscle is hard work and training, as you need to.create the tiny tears in the muscle to repair and build and any source of protein can help with muscle repair xx

As someone else said already, eat protein rich foods and train. People think a few protein shakes are going to turn them into popeye
