13lbs in 2 weeks

here

Been away from the gym for a few weeks

(and been eating too many business lunches and dinners).

starting again today with the target of losing 13lbs in 2 weeks.

The PT I use is brilliant - concentrating on body weight and core stuff rather than cardio - the excess seems to vanish and it firms things up incredibly well.

But I struggle with the food (oh and the red wine and single malt)

any interesting recipes or meal suggestions gratefully received (must be zero carbs)

Thanks

T

I make a nearly fat free curry sticking anything in it meat wise or just veg and i just blend softened onions , a tin of toms and 2 or 3 teaspoons of curry paste .then simmer and add whatever you like ...

I do a soup thats fat free and can be carb free depending what you add ?

simmer veg or meat ? in stock and then add a large jar of passata and herbs and simmer

good luck

13 pounds in 2 weeks! That's nothing. I lost 100 pound in 4 hours last week! Mind you I was at Cheltenham !!

I've lost a stone since Christmas by just reducing portion size and 15 minutes a day exercise

Ive lost a little more than normal by eating the german rye bread (toasted) instead of "normal" every day bread. I toast it as it takes me longer to chew it and makes it less crumbly

No wheat bloating anymore

Sounds perfect ... what do you have as an accompaniment with it. As when I cook curry I end up having rice or some kind of bread?

Rice Substitutes

Cauliflower rice, made from bits of cauliflower shredded in a food processor to resemble rice and then cooked in a microwave, is a healthy low-carb alternative to rice. Because the shape and texture are similar to real rice, cauliflower rice is a good substitute in dishes such as beans and rice, stir-fried dishes ladled over rice and curries served with white rice. You can also replace the rice in your recipe with other grains lower in carbohydrates or higher in fiber, which is counted on the nutrition label as a carbohydrate but is not actually digested. These replacement grains, such as quinoa, buckwheat groats, wild rice or barley, may be an alternative if used in moderation.

I've managed to lose just over a stone in 7 weeks by sticking to Slimming World recipes.

The recipes are freely available on the internet, you don't have to join SW - I didn't & saved any fees.

Good luck.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

Zero carbs is difficult. Low carb is do-able but zero carb pretty much means meat, fish and cheese.

Even eggs have some carbs.

Saturday 14th March 2015 - hoping to still be around

The specific malt - TBC. Do you have a particular favourite?

Sounds good

Possibly look up paleo, a very enjoyable way if eating and very natural. I'm not for fads or ridiculous diets thst claim to lose xx per week. Look to stock more greens, batch cook every couple of nights, remove all temptation (even the wine and single malt) then make yourself some new habits.

.... and my body is currently retaining a lot of water. Previously I have seen a drop of 6 - 8 Lb in the first phase - but its enough to get the mind thinking positively, which encourages the discipline

Dead and green stuff Its easy to follow, very sustainable long term, and you get all your macro and micro nutrients.
