I'm overweight and eat the wrong things but I'd quite like to go on living if that's ok with you?!

Not really your place to judge the dead now is it? Regardless of what she ate or what she looked like!

Just saying it as it is, you cant expect to live a long time if you eat what she did, she wasnt a very good role model, we are always being told how bad fatty and sugary food is for you. notice quite a few famous overweight people have died recently who werent that old.

Who is to say that was the reason she died? Plenty of thin healthy people die for varying reasons

The cause of death has not been released however as cute said it could be non weight related....she could of had cancer or anything...or are you going to say only fat people get cancer

I think it is very likely that what she ate caused her to die at a fairly young age, they also say that fat people are more likely to get cancer, certain fatty foods, red meat and white sugar.

Bob crow was also overweight and he was only 50 when he died.

She was not trying to be a role model. She was trying to enjoy life.

She succeeded.

Not all famous people need to be clean living beige autotuned robots.

I can only laugh at your comments...so you don't think that slim people also eat red meat and sugar...speaking ill of the dead is not a nice thing to do...

My family all have a tendency to die in their mid to late 60's. I'll probably break that record (in my 50's lol). But some people just aren't built to last into old age, even if they keep themselves fighing fit!

I think becoming a barrister shows great education and hard work, to turn her life around after being an alcoholic again shows she had grit and determination. Dry for almost 27yrs.

Food is something we all need to survive. If she died because she ate the wrong things im pretty confident that she enjoyed eating the labour of her amazing products.

She probably never even set out to be a 'role model' Diet is about choice and making decisions.. something for which we are accountable for. If that was her vice in life then so be it

I watch the two fat ladies make bubble and squeak once. They used enough lard to grease up David Walliams for hid Channel swim. My arteries hardened at the thought of eating it

I think their cooking was old fashioned good hearty grub which is great if you have come in from farming or other labour intensive jobs...however in today's society where it's fast becoming a nation of sofa sitters then it has to be reduced....

Lovely woman, who wore the effects of her alcoholism long after her last drink, she poisoned her body with Quinine as her tipple used to be gin and tonic. She consumed so much it affected her body's ability to lose weight, pictures of her when she first went to Uni to study Law shows a very slim 21 year old.

Keen supporter of the Countryside alliance, and an all round good egg. If any of you ever get Chance read her autobiographies "Spilling the Beans" and "Rifling through my Draws"

God Rest her Soul.

Exactly! Cooking for when people did REAL jobs! Shovelling tons of stuff, digging, hitting stuff with bloody great hammers etc.! It was burnt off and they needed it to survive and it was cheap nourishment which they needed.

Wwhen the Two Fat Ladies was first broadcast I thought it was a spoof! I mean, two ugly, old fat ladies riding about on a motorbike and sidecar was the idea of some alternative comedy writer to me until I saw these ladies were the real deal!

R.I.P. Clarrissa! Hope there`s plenty of hunting where you`re going!
