Are some people addicted to this site?

Just wondering because I've chatted to several guys,who have said they're only on here occasionally, and would be very unlikely to meet anyone from here, it's all a bit of fun when they're bored, etc.

Yet if I watch them for a while, they're on every day, and even post verifications too!

Question is, are they just lying to me, or lying to themselves too? If the latter, then I'd suspect addiction. What do you think?

Just for the record, I'm only asking because I'm curious re human nature, why people do what they do. I'd never meet someone I knew had lied to me!

Maybe they think you are a nosey bugger or don't trust you enough to tell you the truth.

Lol! That might be the case if they have now read this. But hardly likely otherwise, they've not met me, hotlists are private, and I have my privacy settings on.

Because of smart phones where you don't have to login or out of this site it can appear that you are always 'online' !!

I'm also a curious type and just wondered what would compel someone to message you when you are completely hidden?

I don't think they do appear online when they are not though, even if they are still logged in on the phone. Most of the guys I know using phones are rarely seen to be online. I, on the other hand leave it open on my desktop all day while I sit here avoiding work.....

That's ok, I'm curious too lol! And to satisfy your curiosity: I've hidden my profile to stop people messaging me because I've got more friends than I currently have time to keep in touch with. Yes, a good situation to be in lol!

I access this site with my phone and I never log off, just click off the browser. I am not on the site that often really but I've had messages off people asking why I havent replied.

I don't suppose that many are addicted, they just enjoy the site. And its surely not that important OP how often they are on, and so what if they are more often, its hardly lying is it. Not meaniing to sound harsh and rude OP but you are just a stranger on a swinging site, men don't need to tell you information apart from the usual likes/dislikes etc.

I take your point, and I appreciate you making it. However, if, without me asking them, they themselves choose to tell me something, then go and do the opposite thinking I won't notice, I not only judge them by their actions not their words, but am also inclined to think they are just a tad stupid!

Yes I've noticed this too. And I do think this site is addictive at times. I don't know if that's necessarily bad, unless it impacts negatively on the person's real life and relationships.

It can be addictive sometimes I'm on here far more than I should....however it does not impact my real life...I know when to step away and have times with family and friends....however I've made some great friends on here....

I'm relative new to the West Midlands and a lot of the friends I've made here are settled down etc...most of my friends in London I've lost touch with so I don't have a huge circle of friends so it's been nice to meet new people...who I've of never of met in the real world...
