That's a bit harsh, how was she to know? Chilli is usually quite a low risk dish.

When I was really young I ate so much spaghetti bolognaise that I puked and I had strands of spaghetti coming through my nose. It was quite unplesant.

Once had a curry (Rogan Josh) and the skin on my chest and arms blistered badly ... huge welts all over me

A trip to A&E and an epi shot soon cured it though

Was white water rafting in Nepal along a sacred river, which was a burial/ burning site.

We used the water for drinking and cooking. Although it was boiled never felt so bad for 5 days.

Sheffield

Some razor clams in a hotel in northern Spain. Spent the night throwing up and the other end too.

When I complained about it as we checked out the manager had the gall to suggest it was caused by alcohol cos there was beer, a bottle of wine and a liqueur on the bill. The fact that I'd only had one small liqueur with coffee and my companion had all the rest didn't deter him.

I spent a miserable couple of hours queuing for the ferry in the car, having to keep running off to the loo and remembering to take my passport and boarding pass every time - I needn't have worried cos two drivers jammed the whole queue by going off for a leisurely lunch then deciding to repack their boots before they'd board!

Everywhere and nowhere baby

Bought some of that pink and white nougat from a sweet stall at a fete.

Ate it when I got home. Two hours later, was so ill, both ends, ended up passing out on the landing, and shitting myself. My then hubby Called the Dr. He asked what I'd eaten, told him. Dug wrapper out of bin, two months past sell by date!! Can't even look at the stuff now without feeling sick.

Was getting married in Greece and ate garlic prawns. Was ill for a week and couldn't eat on the big day. But looked a bit slimmer on the wedding pics so not all bad. Now if I see a garlic prawn I hate the little gits.

Mussels have me me very I'll twice. I used to eat them by the bucket load but I had a bad reaction once. It took me about five years to be brave enough to try them again. I only soaked my bread in the juice and an hour later I thought I was being turned inside out. I'm very nervous about any fish now.

It might be because you have had milk around the same time. In some people the two can trigger migraines after the orange juice acid curdles the milk from a milky drink or cereals etc in the stomach.

I had a bad oyster experience and since then if I try to eat them my body makes it very clear it doesn't want them!
