You can't "cheat" with supplements. If you want rapid muscle growth you need to eat plenty of protein and train hard, push beyond your limits. The protein aids muscle repair so you can get lifting again quicker.

Even with steroids you still have to work Damn hard and eat right.

What are you currently doing in the gym?

Have to agree with this.

OP there are legal and illegal options but there's no escaping that you also need to train hard.

Do we value something that is gained on the quick, as much as something that we have gained by effort and endurance? I think that we probably dont, and so I am always happy to have the patience and tenacity to see things through. This may not be about struggle, more that increased satisfaction can be gained from long term application and effort. The general rule, the pareto principle, is that 80% of our results come from 20% of our efforts. It is thus worth focusing on just what those 20% efforts are, and then constantly looking for the next 20% effort load to gain the 80% results. If someone is starting out with training, a good balanced diet should contain sufficient protein and other elements for good repair and growth. Dont overlook the need for enough rest and sleep either, these are essential. As for supplements, just do it where you are efficient, and with what you are efficient of. There is no magic bullet, as much as promoters of overpriced protein, carbs and minerals would like us to think there is. Ingredients for such products are simple and cheap, check them out and wonder who is smart.

Cycling is a lot of cardio and extensive cardio can.actually eat away at muscle. Get in the gym buddy. Can help give you some pointers if needs be.

Forget supplements for now, there are no short cuts and I'm talking about legal ways. It's all about having a goal, a program that suits you and sticking to a diet. If you think it sounds like hard work, it is. There are websites suck as bodybuilding that offers all the info you need I'd start there.

Supplinents do not make you stronger, they just make your muscles swell and look big.

The only way to make them stronger is to tear the tissue and it repairs itself in stronger condition than it started. This is also known as exercise. Lol.

Small dense muscles can shift more stuff than massive water filled heaps that you see on telly.

Steroids do not make you stronger, they simply negate the fatigue you get after exercise to allow you to go straight back to the gym the following day.

You can get a similar effect if you put your muscles into an ice bath immediately after exercise and further aid can be given by using the Skins or similar compression clothing when you sleep after exercise.

All these were taught to me when I played international and european championship hockey and I can vouch that they worked.

It is still damn hard work though.

I thought muscles grow best in the sea and left to mother nature.

Seriously though, if your profile name indicates that you're a cyclist then maybe your body type (like all seriously cyclists) wont bulk up - you'll just get stronger and better definition

I've found the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey range to be good value for money; it seems pretty effective in terms of aiding recovery/feeding your muscles. The Milk Choc and Mint Choc varieties taste pretty good ..& you get a dose of glutamine and BCAs in addition to the protein.

I'd advise getting some good quality Creatine in too as it'll help you get that extra rep out when pushing to failure.

Obviously as others have said the supplements themselves won't transform your body... You'll need to put the work in for that I'd definitely advise getting core/compound exercises such squats, deadlifts & bench press into your routine if you haven't already done so.

Other than the above, lots of rest etc

Creatine just makes you retain water, it won't help you get an extra rep, a good training partner will do that.

A good solid diet is much better than bodybuilding supplements, and of course plenty of heavy compound lifting.

Eat a good mixture of brown carbs and lean meats. Carbs for the energy, protein for the muscle repair and growth. Eat 6 small meals a day but remember if you are not burning it off in the gym it will store itself as fat.

A good routine would be a 4 day split if you have the time. Monday upper body, Tuesday legs, weds off, Thursday upper body, Friday legs. Work out hard for 45 mins to an hour and get some essential amino acid supplements such a lycine to aid muscle repair and development.

There is no quick fix unless you want your muscles to fall off next time your dehydrated

"Spinach...... well it works for Popeye "

Sure does

...it's all about the protein intake and your diet. I'm not the best to give advice on all that as my diet's all over the place lately. But, when i used to train properly i used to try and consume around 2 grams of protein per body weight. So, if i weighed 70kg i'd try to get at least (minimum) 140 grams of protein per day.

Just need to make sure you're eating right to be honest. Whey protein is best in terms of shakes for a pure protein addition. But, the best protein to get is from fish, chicken and turkey.

You're going to have to train hard, with form. Make sure you can feel the strain on your muscles. No need to lift heavy if you can't handle the weight. Do a weight you can control with slow, focused movements...and then you shall see results.

Good luck.

"Creatine just makes you retain water, it won't help you get an extra rep, a good training partner will do that."

I agree that a good training partner is key, more so than supplementation, but I do think there's more to Creatine as a supplement than just the retention of water/fuller 'looking' muscles.

There are quite a few credible studies out there backing it's use, though I won't start spamming the forum with links/citations

In any case, I'm sure you'd be able to find some studies saying otherwise (as is always the case with this sort of thing).

You need to be in a caloric surplus to build muscle, no supplements will ever trump food! Compound movements, theres alot of different splits you can do, push pull an legs is my preference! Judge ur strength n build from there, 2-6 reps heavy weight will build strength 7-15 reps for hypertrophy(bodybuilding)

muscle grows slower with strengthtraining but its good no lookin like you can move the weight you can when in the gym!

Creatine monohydrate tends to make you retain water especially as you need a loading phase before the maintenance dose. Creatine ethyl ester doesn't need this loading phase as it reaches the muscles in a different way (don't ask me how!) so doesn't tend to bloat you like monohydrate does. I was a competitive powerlifter for years and took both, the latter being much better for me and did help with getting an extra rep or a few more kilos on a lift.

Apparently there is a chemical agent in Ralgex and Deep Heat which works better than any steroid. You will need to squeeze 2" lengths of cream onto a baking tray and put it in the oven on a low heat to dry out. Once you have done this, the cream should have become firm and hold it's shape when pressed.

Now all you need to do is use the hardened cream as a suppository. It is said 2-3 inserted twice per day will achieve the best results.

Good luck.

80kg bench press, supersets, squat, dead lift, clean and press. Coupled with a high protein and clean diet should do the trick.

Creatine also works for me along with BCAA for recovery.

There is no rapid way, its down to hard work in the gym, most cheap suplemts r nothing more than sawdust, eat lots of chicken and deadlift.
