Titz Towers, North Notts

I got German Measles twice, mumps, chicken pox and the flu. Always in December just when it was convenient. I was always worried I'd be in trouble as it formed a obvious pattern, even though it was all kosher and not just wagging it.

I still had many happy hours sat on the sofa in an empty house, with a book and a cup of tea, wrapped in a duvet.

i used to be left with recurring tonsilitis whilst mum went out - neighbours used to drop in to check on me - in the days when you could leave back door unlocked and it was safe to do so - really poorly allowed to lay on sofa with blanket and the radio on - lol

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I had chicken pox and mumps during the 1976 heatwave.

Scarlet Fever is on the increase apparently as parents aren't isolating their children.

Are you sure it was chicken pox and not shingles? It's the same virus.

You can get chicken pox more than once. And as an adult. Although from the same virus, 2 noticeably different illnesses .

I had chicken pox when I was about 8. And if there's a cold/virus/sick bug going around I'll get it!!

My lad had chicken pox on his first birthday. He gets a lot of chest infections etc coz they think he's asthmatic and unfortunately it looks like he gets his immune system from me coz he'll catch anything going as well x

You can only get shingles after having chicken pox and shingles is usually only on one side of the body as it lives in the base of your spine or so a doctor told me.

Had chicken pox as a kid, and impetigo as an adult. Fun.

I have had none of the childhood illnesses, despite going to all the pox parties. Not sure if this was lucky or not.
