...Up on the Downs

I'm having one of those pensive days where I ask myself 'What do I think of it so far??' and think about if I am going to adjust my sights or my expectations on here...

How often do you take a step back and analyse - or is that a taboo thing for you??

Nothing wrong with that. Over time thoughts and opinions change.

You learn from life and make changes relating to positive and negative experiences

Always. No fun staying the same all the time.

Up on them there hills

As long as you don't become retentive, I find a lot of words that have anal in them (like analyse) can have that effect.

Titz Towers, North Notts

I try not to analyse things. I've two friends who are into things like that and both can have an existentialist crisis on their way to the toilet.

Haha, how does the saying go 'Never had an unexpressed emotion....'!!

No bottling up of anything here!

;-)

It made me laugh when the horse trainer from Utah came over and said he thought we were all anal for putting rugs on our horses....they just don't have proper mud in Utah!!

I just said "I have the kind of logical problem solving mind that is willing to engage with any kind of 'cognitive dissonance'"..........

Hmmm, I think I need to go and do that degree in psychology, haha!!

I like to do some reflection from time to time. Sometimes it makes you realise the time has come to make an important decision. Certainly my most recent reflections did. However I try not to over-analyse as that paralyses me and I can't take action.

It's a good thing.

I do it fairly regularly.

Keeps things fresh.

I'm often analytical but also very impulsive, some may see a slight contradiction with those two traits but there isn't.

My analysis confirms that I'm usually at my happiest when I'm impulsive and don't hold too many expectations.

I was working late at the Carphone Warehouse last night when I received this text from my girlfriend :

'thespacebuttonisfaultyonthisphone.

Whenyougethomepleasegivemeanalternative.'

And as I eagerly rushed home, I couldn't help but wonder...

What the hell does 'ternative' mean?
