Someone was in shock earlier because I said I've never seen A Clockwork Orange.

Then I also mentioned that I have never seen The Godfather Trilogy

What classic films have you not seen?

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I've not seen A Clockwork Orange either.

Nor have I seen most of the older classics like Casablanca, Breakfast At Tiffany's, Gone With The Wind etc.

I'm not into horror so I've seen very few horror films, classic or otherwise.

Reservoir Dogs is another people tend to be surprised I haven't seen.

Titz Towers, North Notts

I've never seen the Goonies, either.

When someone mentions a fillum is a classic, I ask myself why?

Is it a classic simply because it is old (The Grapes of Wrath)? Is it a classic because one would be felt uncouth to think otherwise (Clockwork Orange)? Or is it a modern film that is currently the bees knees, but whose popularity may be transient (Avatar)?

I think Clock Work Orange is a poor film, only made famous/infamous by the ban it received at the time

The Grapes of Wrath is a classic because of it's beautiful cinematography, acting, writing, and the message it carried then, and carries now. In our days of food banks, I'd say it' pretty relevant.
