Though I love the peace and quiet of the house sometimes. ...

Thew are occasions, like today when I just have to have music on from room to room

I also listen to my music through 'phones at work and when I'm out running.

Do you need music in your life ?

not very, increasingly i am turning the radio of in the car as the music is just noise to me.

I even enjoy running without my music now, tuning into my body and my breathing etc

When I first started running I needed music to drown out the sound of my panting

Now I like it to help me keep a tempo

My mum always call me after the nursery rhyme - 'she shall have music wherever she goes'

Nothing's changed

It's very important to me - on the one hand because of the dancing, a good track really impels me to dance, and because it creates/enhances mood in me. Hmm, reaches for the WMP button......

Couldn't do without music, it lifts my mood if I'm down and listening to certain songs brings back lovely memory's of people and places. If I had to do without music or telly, they'd be no choice, although Andy would have a thing or two to say about that one lol.

In the house and car yes. Never out walking, that just seems really weird to me. What if someone comes up behind you with a big (noisy!) hammer?

It's nice to hear the birds sing.

Always, always listening to music. I have the occasional moment when I switch everything off and just be quiet...but not often.

I love to hear a great song sung by a great singer, sadly there are very few of them about in modern music.

Define modern Mr Brain, I happen to think that there are some brilliant vocalists around.

Are you saying that they all rely on songwriters

Actually you're right, its common you hear someone say something to the effect of 'music isn't as good as it used to be' or whatever, but the fact remains there was plenty of crap around in the 90s, 80s and before, the reason why some songs of those eras stay relevant is simply because they're great songs rather than being due to the time period they're from.

We need music in our lives...

Would go as far as to say it's a close call as to which hubby loves best, me or his music.

Though he is a musician.

If I had to lose a medium of expression it would be music. Adore comedy, love film, love books and can't imagine not having them. Think I could live without music though, I could never live without the funny.

I do love peace and quiet, but music is great therapy, lifts you up, brings back memories even makes you cry, all good though

It's completely vital for me. I always have music on. It makes mundane tasks bearable, lifts you when you're down, elates you in the sunshine, floods the mind with memories, makes you want to dance, sets a sexy mood, gets you pumped for exercise.....I love it. It's about my biggest passion.

Correct my friend, I am of the opinion that as much brilliant new music of whatever genre is being made daily, there is also loads of crap.

iPods, need I say more.....

Well obviously I do, get a decent stack system with a pair of kickass speakers and you're in heaven

Make sure the neighbors are out though before you crank it up to no. 11
