Friends' bfs and gfs are off limits. Usually I wouldn't get involved with one even if the friend and the partner split up.

I do, however, know of a girl (she was 21 and very immature) who was not getting enough of her own way with her bf so latched on to, manipulated and seduced one of her bf's best friends, (who was easier to get her own way with). That caused a few ructions.
