how many of you message people to meet off the forums?

Unless I have forgotten someone, I cant say I have messaged someone because they have been posting and caught my eye?

I don't recall whether it was me sent the initial message, but I do occasionally PM folk if a post (or a pic) catches my eye - not necessarily with the flat out intention of procuring another victim, that's just an added bonus

I think it depends on what the forum topic is.

If someone is looking for a dogging spot then pm them, if it is a general forum topic then there is no reason to pm them.

Some forum topics (rate my cock etc) try to illicit a pm and it is up to the person reading the forum whether they pm them or not but, as mentioned above, if people are looking for locations then it really shouldn't go out in the forum

Have sent quite a few messages to forum users and received a few. It's usually because of a certain post or just to pay a compliment about a photo or their humour etc.

In general we don't use the forums to look for or to arrange meets. That's not to sat that we haven't and wouldn't meet anyone from the forums.

I post in a lot of the forums, but especially in the Welsh one. I've messaged one or two people about forum posts, and been messaged quite a bit about posts I've made.

As for meeting, I can't say that there has been a direct link, but we have met lots of people who have posted in the Welsh forums, usually at one of the Socials here, or a party.

As I travel around I try and meet forum folk socially. Caz was my first and she didn't put me off meeting others. Lunch, dinner or just a drink with someone I have come to know virtually is interesting.

I don't mind the argumentative or aggressive messages relating to a post or topic that we've commented on. Just another way to filter people! Once they've been reported and blocked, what else are they going to do?! If they hassle us on the forums, continue to report until admin or one of the mods take action as they see fit.

I respect people who say things as they see it. Narrow minded, short sighted psychofants make me laugh. Nothing wrong with having an educated and evidence based opinion fuelling a debate, but in my opinion there's everything wrong with mindless arguing, finger pointing and misguided blaming.

I don't find the writing style has anything to do with it. I get them regularly regardless of the style being used for the post.

Really? Maybe it's the type of threads then. I have only ever had one, but I don't normally contribute to the serious ones. I just waffle

Oh and people that set up fake profiles to send abuse really should remember that the distance indicator when using a mobile is a good clue as to the real identify!

Ive just realised that my filters stop a lot of messages so it will mainly be up to me if I want to contact anyone on the basis of a forum post

People go to those lengths? Crikey, they need to get a life. I think heated discussions on threads should stay on threads and not carried on in nasty messages. Luckily I've never had one, probably as my posts are boring

I've had quite a few nice messages from the Forums though thanking me for a nice comment or for sharing information
