Good conversations that go bad

Really odd ....

have you ever been part of a conversation that starts off so well and within a few exchanges the other party goes cold for no reason ?

after agreeing to meet this afternoon the other party back off quickly and blocked me ..

should i think thats a bogus account ?

Fairly often I'm chatting with someone and they say something that puts me off. It can get complicated if you try to explain and it's easier for the conversation just to die a natural death

There are times when it is appropriate and times where it's off putting and almost scary...

a lot of the time someone sends you an alright message then the next ones they send makes you change your mind about them because they say things you dont like.

Sometimes I can be talking to someone on PM and then I mention I want them to dress up as me and wear a mask of my face so I can know what it's like to fuck me and boom block, 'sick prick', 'fuck off weirdo' PMs.

i was thinking when it came down to providing detail where we were going to meet the conversation died ... i thought it could be a guy pissing about as a woman and took the conversation as far as he wanted

It's amazing what can kill a conversation dead. The chap who in the midst of telling me about his holiday abroad and how he did bareback with a few peeps and would like to do the same to me was fighting an uphill battle after that, as opposed to gardening uphill.

Similarly one of my conversations never recovered from me telling one guy that I'd not had breast implants.... It was going so well until then.

Just because the conversation dies doesn't mean they are fake. I've had it with people that I've been chatting to for a long time....suddenly the conversation turns and there seems to be no way of recovery. Just chalk it up to experience and move on. It's all you can do. ....there's normally someone else round the corner to make you smile!

When writing rather than speaking to someone you don't know every word is scrutinised, what may be funny when you think of it, or would be funny in a verbal face to face conversation can be regarded with suspicion when written.. conversely stick to dry safe messages and you have no personality, add to the you don't know what sort of day the recipient is having when they open your message and things can be extremely precarious.

Be yourself, try not to offend with half statements expecting the recipient to understand the other half, and sometimes it works out.

This. It is a lot harder to convey humour in the written word than vocally, remember that they cannot see your cheeky grin in your email/msg. Smiley's help if they are available. Some peoples sense of humour can vary hugely from another's.

Had lots if these conversations get on really well with someone even going as far as arranging meets to be given some bullshit excuse at the last minute. Not gonna get my hopes up now and take things said with a pinch of salt until I know someone's genuine life's too short to worry

Luckily we haven't had many problems when messaging but on one occasion in reply to a compliment regarding our photos I jokingly replied "thank you but they are over 20 years old" ... needless to say we didn't hear from them again lol your point exactly

Yes we don't meet every person / couple that we chat too.

Sometimes they go quiet on us and we assume that we either said something wrong or that they simply just changed their mind.

Or we decide after a few messages that they are not for us for whatever reason. We would usually be honest in this case rather than just ignore or block.

Why assume it's a fake account?

I have just found a guy on here who is totally hilarious with his written messages. God does it's turn me on....

Was it a couple or a single profile, if a couples maybe you were speaking to one then the other said no, or maybe you caught them at the wrong time , or said something that our them off , or they took a good look at pics and decided they didn't fancy you, or maybe the partner came home or kids got ill? The list is endless , don't concentrate on the ones that you haven't met, forget it and concentrate on all the others you will meet.

This happens with me sometimes,especially on here when im not always in the mood to respond to messages seriously or even open them because it means ive got to reply,I don't mean to be the worst person in the world at getting back to people but sometimes I am

Other times chat just naturally dies a death for no real reason even though its been going well,somethings are meant to be and some aren't I guess

I've said before we are very harsh in our selection criteria so if anything in a message even raises an eyebrow, nevermind sets alarm bells ringing we lose all interest. And even status updates can have the same effect.
