I've come down with a cold.... it's OK, I dont need your sympathies....

I got thinking, what did your parents/grandparents give you to help you?

My mum made me gargle with TCP to help my throat, and my gran used to cover a rag with lard and shove it on my back

simple things work best - a painkiller - plenty of fluids - honey, lemon juice and hot water(sorts out a sore throat)

- i was always given a spoonful of malt extract as a kiddy over the winter

Central

We had salt water, sniffed up to clear blocked noses. And good old vicks rubbed here there and everywhere. It is probably not very old school, but lemsips too. Hot water bottles for bed, for some reason. And extra special bed time stories. Good night everybody, sweet dreams.
