cleaning my very old 2 slice toaster this morning,(is at least 24 yrs old) it made me think who else might have any electrical item that they still use on a regular basis?

I have looked at toaster's last year, they are so cheap and plasticy looking and these days anything electrical has a very short shelf life.

Nope all our stuff goes tits up after about 2years max. Irons, toasters, kettle. my kettle is not two years old and it's been leaking for a while

Immersion heater that must be 40 years old! My sister recently nudged the cable and shorted it out. The old cable insulation crumbled like a biscuit when I replaced it but the heater is still going strong!
