it's down to "need"

we need to eat so we develope better hunting skills

Polo, is your concern more with intellect or knowledge?

The paradox is that the more we know, the more we realise we don't know. Also the more we know the more we realise some others don't know.

The bell curve has not shifted to the left, we simply have never known enough to draw an accurate bell curve.
