So today a funky strut changed my life

Great Wyrley

On the radio comes sister sledge 'he's the greatest dance' so up went the volume of course.

A funky strut across the living room followed by a sharp twist in the feet and a moonwalk and a bit of a pointy arm up and down dance with a wiggle of the hips giving it 'i'm the greatest dancer' under my breath............standard me thinks.

Obviously not so. I look up to see my 8.5 year old princess looking at me horrified. 'What are you doing daddy?' '1979ish darling, sister sledge, legendary track, they'll still be playing this when you are old enough to go to the discos you know'.

'No, daddy I didn't mean that, what are doing? you can't dance! you are sooo uncool!'

I mean what, what WHAT??????

I hit the 40 mark and now my daughter tells me I am uncool????

Will I have to trade in my skater trainers next for a t jacket and polo neck???
