a Primark shoebox in Leicester

I won’t ask about what it is to be British as I feel there are cultural differences between England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

What do you see as being in the montage which makes up the English (amend if you are one of the other lot – but it is St G’s Day) culture.

Some of my thoughts are:

The Sunday roast.

Sunday is a day of boredom to relax if you are not religious.

Green lawns.

Fish and chips.

Deck chairs.

99's at the seaside.

Queuing.

Family gatherings must involve getting pissed.

Are you in a parallel universe??? "

Well, Stu, it is relative... I invite you to spend a few days in Germany where shop assistants do NOT walk along with you showing you the aisle and even find you the product.

I have done a lot of driving in this country and abroad, not quite so much now but still a fair bit and I really find British people more courteous on the roads.

But hey, it is an outsider's perspective - come to my country and do some market research and while you are at it.. do a report on the swing clubs too (different thread, mind you)
