Happy St. Georges day everyone...

It is a shame it goes unoticed most years, what's needed is a big company to get behind it like Guiness did with St. Patricks day, people will take more notice then.

I didn't even know when St George's Day was as a child as it was simply never mentioned. It's much better now but nobody can party like the Irish (who don't really need an excuse lol)

Happy St George's Day to everyone, and Happy Shakespeare Day too. (Shakey was born and died on 23rd April)

Im dressed in the red and white up here in Scotland and with my England earings on too. Down in Horwich we have the morris men spend the nearest Saturday to the 23rd dancing from pub to pub and there are a lot of celebrations, cant join in this year but can show my support with my colours, was born a Lanchashire lass and will always be English and proud of it. Happy ST Georges Day

In Wales all the school kids dress up in welsh costume and get their class pictures put in the local newspaper ... all patron saint days should be holidays

its an extra special day for me as my first bornson was born today 31 years ago, he lives in the west midlands and alot of his mates are campaigning to make st georges day a bank holiday, they've all booked a day off work to celebrate, agre with everyone that says it should be a national day.

manifesto for any political party of the moment.... make ST Georges day a holiday.... they'd get afew votes amongst the lads and lasses i'm sure
