It has always been acceptable to eat in the street in the far southwest, generations have walked around stuffing Cornish pasties in their mouths, no one bats an eye. Fish and chips at sea side towns has always been the norm.

When I was a kid all pedestrians would halt in their tracks, turn to face the road, remove hats and lower heads. It was considered poor form to look or stare at the cortege as it passed.

I have seen it many many many many many many many times before but.......
