The land of grey peas and bacon

What has been your epic cooking disaster?? Mine was making a homemade chilli for my ex husband and I got mixed up with the chilli as the Americans have loads of different jars of chilli....let's just say we nearly died of heat exhaustion lol

once cooked the xmas turkey with the bag of giblets still inside,im ashamed to say I fished it out and didn't say a word,it tasted ok though

Not mine but my ex made a pie out of codling he caught himself, beans, cabbage and potato waffles. I'll eat almost anything when I'm hungry but I couldn't eat that mess

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

So many. Top tip - don't ever use a students cookbook.

The latest was roast squash soup. I didn't realise some squash need peeling before liquidising and ended up picking bits of rock hard skin out of my soup.

mine was very similar, first chilli I ever tried to make I bought 1lb of chilli's because they where small and put the lot in
