basin cuts

little house on the praire

WHen you was a child did you used to get the "basin" cut off your mam or where you posh and went to the hairdressers. Even worse do you have a basin haircut now, i know some do and it tickles me, old habits must die hard

Yep, definitely! lol.... think I got her to take me to the hairdressers when I realised. In fact I can only remember her doing it once? Perhaps my mind has blocked out the pain!

Its nor a good look and smacks of either bad taste or mummies control!!

Its what my dad had when he was young! Think you can still get them from Oldie worldie barbers for £1.95

My mum used to be a hairdresser so luckily I got pretty decent haircuts whenever I needed them. Although she used to threaten me with having a basin cut if I didn't tidy my bedroom!

Somebody I work with has one... I've often considered telling him the name of my hairdresser and suggesting he go there, but I fear he might actually think there's nothing wrong with his haircut.

Scary thoughts. But people really DO have these styles.

Same as those with combovers then i suppose - they THINK they look good.

Mind you comb overs would show the ears, so deifferent people for different stlyes

My mum always used to take me the hairdressers back in the 80s!,,,N yes i always had that classic basin cut!! Boring! lol ,,,,but it was always a haircut that was 4 that dam school photo!! lol lol

yeah it was like a get a round plate n cut round it! lol

The hairdresser was called "Teddy minute" lol lol

i had frequently..... def child abuse!!

then she decided to get me the princess diana cut that was all the rage.... not on a fat faced ginger child it was not a good look!!!

oh and the il just cut your fringe disaster that made me look like dumb and dumber!!

she really goin to suffer if she ever needs a nursin home lol!!! xx

nope used to shave my head no basin required . had no hair until about fiorst year in high school where i was allowed to have control of my own hair for the first time lol

When I were a lad, we used 't live in't shoebox in't middle of't road...

But my dear old Mum had a bit on the clever about her. We used to go to the barbers once a year and have the most severe crew cut that there was, a number one. That would last us all until the next year when we would be marched down there again with hair down to our shoulders!
