Why do us swingers refer to sex as playing? where did this come from and what would be an alternative?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I don't know really but I started to use this as the term too as it seems to be he lingo.

Think of it as my leisure time activity and the same as a game of golf to others.

East midlands

We introduced ourselves to swinging by visiting a club. We were asked to "play" and we hear it used all the time in clubs now so I think we have just gone along with the term.

Men usually say "do you want to play with my mrs?" I don't mind what its referred to though. I get the jist...

To us swinging isn't making love( that only happens between people that love each other)meeting for sex just doesn't sound as naughty as playing with someone , don't ask us why lol

I say we should call it a sport, then membership fees of swinging clubs become vat exempt

Same reason why people describe it as 'naughty fun'

I once made a word up in scrabble and got 87 points, heh.

Don't know about that, go to whack my balls with a 9 iron and I definitely wouldn't think of it as 'playing'... ouch

Ewwwww! I hate the term 'making love'. Makes me think of slow boring sex with the lights off.
