we bought a new car 2 weeks ago which we liked at the time, now? we hate it with a passion, so been back down to the dealers today and are trading it in for another

an extra £3k to pay out and lost £1500 on the deal too... but think its worth it in the end even though we are well out of pocket

Not heaps of money like yours but needed a new mattress for my bed, did the research including a post in fabs forums and went with the majority and bought a memory foam mattress, hate it, too hard for me so still not sleeping well. And can't afford a new mattress either.

Did the same when I decided to buy a printer with scan facility. Load of crap, caused loads of issues on my PC and buggered it completely so had to buy a new one. Got a refund on crap shit printer.

So for me, I shall never follow the majority

Spent 400 quid on a laser hair removal system. It hurts so so much. I would not have got it if I had known about the agony.

A bit late now...

But...

Next time...

There are a number of people out there that will lend you a car for weekend, week or 10 days (for a fee), they are called car hire companies. Its always a good idea to ask them for whichever model you're thinking of buying and try it out for a few days.

Can save you a fortune!

Many years ago, I saved my pennies to buy m first good quality camera. At the time, the Pentax ME Super had just been released. It was £159. I thought it was just a little too expensive, even though I really wanted one. I settled for an Olympus OM10, which was around £110. Huge mistake. Just out of warranty, it developed a serious shutter speed problem. It sat in a cupboard for the next three years, then I splashed out to have it repaired. A few months later, the fault returned. I traded it in against a second hand Pentax ME Super. Loved it ! It was a brilliant camera. I no longer have any faith in Olympus cameras. Over the years, other family members have owned "self destructing" Olympus's.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

I couldn't afford that kind of money - I'd just put up with the car and get my money's worth.

A boat.

Got caught up in the exitement after a holiday on the Norfolk Broads.

The practicalities of owning it were ridiculous and when I thought about it and decided to cancel the deal it cost me serious dosh.

Still you live and learn
