should "friends" like good friends for a few years stay friends - her in an on/off loveless long term relationship with a waster and a loonatic and will NEVER leave for fear of aftermath - him (friend) single but not much in the way of a fighting man what so ever

what if there is mutual flirting going on for last few months and the energy getting to that stage where its prob going to happen some night over a glass of wine

step back ? maybe lose her or step up and cause turmoil if it got out ?

I would steer clear if I were you. Look for someone to flirt etc with who has less baggage. Tears --- bedtime. Good luck.

Stay friends but leave it like that. She might leave him one day, at least it keeps thing open for the future. I think if your loony male friend found out you'd shagged his wife without him knowing, you'd be up the estuary with no paddle and drowning.
