Any one given , this a go ? And if so what's the verdict for staying in shape ?

Any High Intensity Training is good. There's plenty of solid evidence to say that someone can do as little as 3x20-30 second sprints, three times per week and it will be enough to improve cardiovascular fitness. It's also great for those looking to burn fat (if used in conjunction with a sensible diet, obviously).

I do tabata as part of my program. I do 3x5mins of 30secs sprint on treadmill at 10 and 30 secs off. I hate every second of it but it's worked for me
