I have slept in many hotel beds. Most of them are lumpy or squeaky.

I like my beds soft and comfy.how do you like yours?

I like a firm bed with a high thread count cotton sheets.

Crowne Plaza had the best beds last year. I hope my Newcastle bed will be firm on Friday.

Letsbe, which hotel has the best beds for you?

Premier Inn really do have nice beds IMO!

My own bed is lush. King size (all for me and yes I know I need the room thanks) memory foam and airsprung with down pillows and a down duvet. Heaven!

It's best if you can mix the two.

As others have said, Premier Inn do good beds.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

Big and medium-firm.

Too soft hurts my back, as does too firm.

I got a new bed a few weeks ago and even though it's a good 6" higher than my previous bed, it's wonderful!

Theoretically I have a king size bed to myself. In practice the cats get three quarters of it and I get to contort into the odd shaped space they leave.

I'll never understand how two small animals can occupy so much space!

"Can anyone recommend hotels in Glasgow or Edinburgh?"

Edinburgh:

Sheraton, Lothian rd. excellent spa

Apex international, grassmarket. Very handy for great night out

Radisson, royal mile.

Glasgow:

Holiday Inn Theatre land .. Opposite the concert hall

Menzies hotel - nice rooms

Radisson Blu - very trendy.. Good rooms

Fraser Suites - fantastic apartments - hotel prices - even if only staying 1 night

Just to balance out this lovely feedback... my room in the Premier Inn for the Xtasia social stank of stale smoke. And the desk lamp didn't work, which made applying my super duper false eyelashes trickier than necessary.

Everything else was great though.

West Brom Central. No, I didn't complain because I didn't want any hassle. I was running late, had arrived 4 hours later than planned, after a 170 mile, 3 and a half hour drive. I didn't have the energy to complain. I just wanted to get ready for my night out and go and have fun.

West Brom Central. No, I didn't complain because I didn't want any hassle. I was running late, had arrived 4 hours later than planned, after a 170 mile, 3 and a half hour drive. I didn't have the energy to complain. I just wanted to get ready for my night out and go and have fun."

That's cool glad you had fun

Next time even send an email upto 48hr after we have to respond hope this helps next time x

Somewhere in North Norfolk

"Just to balance out this lovely feedback... my room in the Premier Inn for the Xtasia social stank of stale smoke. And the desk lamp didn't work, which made applying my super duper false eyelashes trickier than necessary.

Everything else was great though.

What hotel was that? Did you let the duty manager know?

"Another thumbs up for premier inn

Worst are Travelodge, stayed in a few. Soft, roll into the middle beds, crap pillows and grubby rooms

Travelodge are doing their rooms up. Their new beds are brilliant."

******************

Lets hope they have done the one up where we all staying in june then.

Would be nice to have better lighting in bathrooms too with a magnifying mirror for application of make up. I can never see well enough to apply eye makeup

(must purchase some of those specs with a fold down lense )

That is the worst! You can't snuggle at all. I'm always the one that ends up on the join.

"Can anyone recommend hotels in Glasgow or Edinburgh?

Yes I'm in Glasgow tomorrow prem inn hahahaha "

I stayed in a Premier Inn in the centre of Glasgow last year but I wasn't really impressed with it. The room was very small and it wasn't an economical choice. I can't remember if the bed was comfy, which is annoying as it's the most important aspect of the room.

I've stayed at the Campanile near Braehead and The Ponds and another one i can't remember the name of, I'd like to try some different ones this year.

Has anyone stayed at Citizen M?

Thank you for the recommendations recieved btw

Well last night I was in a newly returned Travelodge, and I must say the bed was nice and comfy.

The room was nice and spacious as it was an accessible one. But at 3 this morning I forgot about that. So imagine the confusion when I pulled the wrong cord, an alarm went off and light flashing. The room door was opened by a guy to find fuzzy headed me stood there in my boxers looking confused.

After a few apologies it was all sorted I left the loo light on after that.

I'm not laughing, really I'm not.

The main thing is that you know their emergency response works. Plus, the bed is comfy.

Grand Central in Glasgow is my favourite there, especially if you upgrade the room.

Fantasy man, I thought you were supposed to be acting as our personal liaison now? Why have I received an anonymous e-mail telling me about the £25 sale?

I'll have to see about getting myself around the country. Which is your newest and shiniest establishment?

One I haven't tried before: Marks Hotel. I hope the beds are good but at £49 for two nights all in I am more willing to suffer.

Glasgow is the newest stop on the Licketysplits tour of the country.

Yes. They'll end up putting up their prices.

One hotel I will recommend in Glasgow is The Alamo. If you stay try to get their best room, it's wonderful!

I'll have a look for another time. I couldn't really say no to 60% off deals though.
