Strewth, one could buy their Greatest Hit for around a £ on Itunes (or similar).

Be grateful it wasn't "Bey"

£290 a pair, plus £29 fee.

Ha, I remember it all kicking off when Queen had the audacity to charge £10 a ticket in 1980 (the first time a rock band had charged a tenner a ticket). That would still only be £37 at today's prices!

Think about it could be wrong but doubt much real term cost much more than beatles tickets in their heyday.

Or the early 70's, the musicians that were in effect, and soon to become, Derek & the Dominoes embarking on a low profile tour of the UK (prior to recording Layla & Other Love Songs) never charging more than a £1 entrance fee.

ps Stop Home Taping, yer killing music!!!!

Not sure if anyone follows rugby on this but the Irish blonde lad from 1D critised Mike Phillips (Welsh scrum half and very big lad).

They got into a twitter argument and then the bookies Paddy Power jumped in and offered to sponser a boxing match between them both.

I would pay £220 to see that!

Don't think the 1D lad would last long

Had he been the Irish scrum half, would that have been Paddy power?

I hop that was via touts and not the price they are being sold by the promoter.

There are festivals that charge less than that

I doubt it but bookies never miss a trick!

Mike Phillips sent a tweet to this 1D lad offering him and the 'rest of the Beatles' to come and train with the Welsh squad. Apparently there wasn't much response to that!

Nope, The Beatles last US tour in 1966, the most expensive tickets were $6.50; less than £30 at today's prices

Paid £46 to watch Simple Minds at the O2 in November last. I was gutted to pay that much.

£225 to watch One Direction???? I'd rather watch a festering turd on a sewage farm
