"I want to go to uni and study adult nursing however I need grade a-c in maths before I do so, which I don't already have. I have been told by a friend that both of these courses are free as one is government funded and the other is funded by the NHS also you never pay the course fees back at any point as long as you stay in NHS employment for 5 years. I'm just wondering how true this is? I don't mind either way because it's working towards the career I want. Just purely inquisitive " Have you got all the remaining criteria?

"Yes, look at the sector skills council for care - skillsforhealth. There should be information there. " Shame it doesn't include medicine *grumble*

Yes I have looked at the requirements for my local university which I have been told have great facilities and teaching for nursing and I fit all the criteria apart from that minor issue with my grade. "Yes, look at the sector skills council for care - skillsforhealth. There should be information there. Shame it doesn't include medicine *grumble*" No. Different routes for that. There is a sector skills council for most employment sectors and entry level qualifications often have some sort of subsidy. Unfortunately, for higher levels you have to pay unless there is a significant shortage of skilled labour. UKCES has the full list of sector skills councils for others looking for work related training information.

"Check with the university if they do an assessment paper where they can give a level of ability. If you pass this with a high enough mark some universities then allow that instead of the formal qualifications. Good luck" Do you mean regarding the maths qualification?
