Keeping it as immobile as possible at a guess. What advice have you been given?

If you mean achilles tendon then yes. Heel raisers, a very expensive gizmo for shoes with gel pad and electronic thingy and targeted heel stretches via a physio. Surgery is best avoided tho sometimes steroid id knjection. I didn't want that as it can melt the tendon.

You have my sympathy- horrible thing.

Ouchyyyy !! Heard that more painfull than a break... Would assume keeping off it for a while and some kind of support would help ? .... Hope it improves soon

...Up on the Downs

No way to hurry a ligament I am afraid, they take the time they take.

Yep. It was either codeine or the Oktoberfest. I can recommend the Oktoberfest.

I did mine about two years ago and took about six months to heal. Still realky weak and flares up from time to time. I try to limit wearing heels as I tend to end up swollen for about a week afterwards x

You can get one from Argos for a tenner. As with most things recovery takes as long as it takes. If you try to rush it you could cause more issues for yourself.

My friend tripped in a small hole in the garden and managed to do ligament damage to both ankles at the same time.
