Have you come to terms with your own mortality?

Whilst I'll be really pissed off if I woke up dead, I know there's bugger all I can do about it.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Nothing is permanent. Our time may be long or short but it will pass.

I've had some near misses but somehow I keep trundling on.

Nearly died a couple of times.

I have come to terms with my demise and the fact that death is life's only certainty.

Learning not to fear death is quite liberating.

I'm not in any rush to die but I don't fear being dead just how unpleasant the transition from being well to being dead may be. I would much rather die relatively young and painlessly than struggle for many years just to notch up an old age which is why I would like to see more emphasis on maximising quality of life in healthcare provision and medical research than there currently seems to be.

I fully understand you don't get to choose when and how you die, but I feel the same about dying in a hospital - I hate them. I want to die with the wind on my face.

There have been times in my life I would have welcomed my demise. I'm not scared of it.

I'd like to have certain matters in order before I go though, if possible.

I have promised not to go until I sort out the paperwork. It's such hard work sorting through the ancient bank statements etc. when sorting out probate.

It is the only thing in "life'that's certain but I'd like it if I was able to say goodbye and a few other things that people need telling

I'm certain one day it will happen though hopefully not for a hell of a long time

The only fear I have is what will happen to my kids when I'm gone and not there for them

I'd like to live into my 80s to spend as much time with my family. The only reason I don't want to die is to spare my family heart ache. I'm not scared of dying in my sleep. Wouldn't want an horrific death though or a battle with cancer. Watching someone you love die is heart breaking

I don't want to live to a really ripe old age, hate seeing these poor old things who struggle, no not for me at all. Early to mid 70's would do me, pity we can't choose when to bail out eh?

I'm not scared of death, I'm scared of leaving my leaving children, of them not remembering me and them having to grow up without a mother.

Yes but someone else has to clean it up - I don't need to bother.

I fear dementia and MND much more than death.

I try not to think about it most of the time. A few years ago I used to suffer from panic attacks and couldn't sleep at night because I thought I wouldn't wake up. Not pleasant.

I'd like some notice of it coming so I don't start watching a boxset.

I can also leave notes saying that my next door but one is trying to bump me off.

There is that. I don't have to worry about those things as my sister will just deal with that. Plus I don't have the sort of stuff (or quantities) that you have.

No problem with dying here, just would rather put it off for as long as possible and then go peacefully in my sleep after a final shag with a sexy lady.

I know, shallow and self centered, but I guess many of are if we are honest.

Why bother? Leave a mess, make them work for their inheritance! Make sure that your sex toys are hidden all over the place...maybe even buy some 'special' ones just to freak out those who are going through your things!

As for the photos, make sure they will all be found. maybe your last act will be to help some of your family discover the real joys of recreational sex.

I know, I'm a bad man!

LoL
