Tries to learn to play golf many years ago, used to be a reasonable sportsman and because I was no good after one round (with a coach) have never played since!

I know the feeling OP.

tatting - lace making. it looks so beautiful and intricate for some thing that is just made of chains and loops!

are there any classes you could go to locally to help you getting started ....might help to have other people who you can bounce ideas off ...good luck !

i've put some feelers out but i'll have to temper my frustration vocabulary

its not a well known craft though so for the moment youtube will have to do
