Snoggy loves Ikea, however, I just found out he has never eaten their meat balls!!!

Needless to say, I LOVE THEM!!!

Are there any other self-confessed Ikea meat ball fans about?

Ikea meatballs covered in berry sauce, served up with chips. It's the food of champions, and to be honest the only way I'd ever visit the place. All those crowds of people with their wooden pencils and glazed expressions.....

Ikea breakfasts are for winners also

So is meatballs a wardrobe or a bed? I can't figure out Ikea's naming policy

I made my own meatballs tonight....

500g pork mince

1 Grated Onion

1 tps thyme

1 tps basil

1 tps oregano

2 cloves garlic

1 tps of chilli from a jar

Small handful of breadcrumbs soaked in milk and drained.

1 egg

Pull in a bowl and mix well using your hands. The above mix is enough for 10 meatballs.

Put in a heated frying pan and brown for 8-10 turning occasionally.

When cooked transfer into a pot and add 1 x 400g tin of chopped tomatoes covering the meatballs, 1 clove garlic, a tbls of tomato puree and season with salt and pepper. Bring to the boil then simmer for 35-40 mins stirring occasionally. 10 mins before end of cooking time add basil.

Serve with 100g of pasta of your choice per person and a topping of parmesan over the meatballs.

Viola and enjoy.

Nice one!

I could make my own, however, they are just not the same as those served in Ikea's restaurants!

Those meatballs are the highlight of any trip to IKEA!!

They sell Swedish meatballs in Asda though and they're a pretty good facsimile!
