This morning a horse I have known since I was 15 and have ridden for 5 years was put to sleep.

I've had a shit week due to idiot men but nothing they can do will top how I'm feeling right now. I just don't know what to do with myself and just keep crying, I feel like such a wet lettuce.

He is a well known horse and many people have memories of him, I'm dreading going to ride tomorrow.

Have a good cry it will make you feel better.

I remember when I was younger my favourite horse at the stables died after having colic ~ I didn't understand at the time why she passed away and I was devastated.

hugs xx

Big hugs, have had to have much loved dogs put to sleep due to illness, its never easy but I console myself with the fact they are no longer suffering. I won't have any more pets tho, don't want to go thro it ever again.

You are allowed to be sad and broken hearted, but go riding tomorrow if you can and try to find comfort in the pleasure being around horses brings you x

Bless you sweetie I'm sorry to hear that, over the years I have experienced the loss of many animals who were dear friends, don't feel silly about your emotions let them out and embrace them.

Go and ride tomorrow and share your feelings with others who have a connection with him too as they will understand and feel similar to you.

Then reminiss about him and remember the fun things that made him special and individual and find things to laugh about in those memories it will help you heal xxx

Huge hugs from another animal lover. Some people don't understand the bond we can have with our animals. We love them so much and the hurt when we lose them is immense. The pain will ease and the happy memories will be left xxxx

I feel like you, but for different reasons. Although your reasons for feeling the way you do are bigger than mine.

Very long story and it's a question of changing lifestyle (arguably for the worse), getting used to it and then who knows I may be use to my life changes and I won't be down then. So angry/confused/upset today it's unreal.

Thank you though xx
