Can anyone tell us why some girls obsess over other people having kik?

We've been chatting to a couple of girls,just general chit chat but at the end of every message she sent us she asked "if we had kik" "when will we be downloading it" "we should do it right now" is there some kind of scam as she isn't the first girl we've come across like this....or maybe it's just us

It's more likely that because of its anonymity, then the guys pretending to be girls won't get found out.

The girl was verified but I suppose they could even fake that too. Some guys really need to get out more lol

I thought people used it to confirm it was a female voice on the other end and Kik costs nada though chatting on cam is more reliable.

It may be because on Kik you can take a photo of your self and send it, this picture sends with a camera icon rather than an icon for uploaded photos thus providing proof the person is who they say they are.

I often give my kik address, I am not a site supporter so can't follow a conversation sometime as I have 10 other messages between each message. Its comes directly to my phone, I can't have a proper conversation, send as many pics as I want and still don't have to give out my personal no. Like you have to for text or whatsapp. Hope that clears things up, I'm sure most people are using for the same reason. Xx
