How do you tell a person they smell?

When you don't know them that well ... Just home from the Docs and theres this lady who always chat to me ... And she really smell of BO ... How do people cope with this meeting people for sex and they smell do you say ? or say nothing.? Not sure whats best.?

Couple if ways

Avoid

Ask if they are there because they are constantly sweating or something along those lines

My grandmother always used to say a bar of soap is really cheap to buy

if its someone who just has a chat to me in the street I wouldn't say anything, but I would try to avoid her in future, if it was someone I was meeting for sex i would just turn them down, if i'm honest i'm not sure i could say to someone you smell, but i always meet for a drink first and if they did smell i would just say sorry but your not really what im looking for and leave, i think i would find that easier than saying you need a damn good wash, when after all lets be honest they must already know that anyway

fresh sweat don't smell its when its old and bacteria has started to form it starts to smell which takes about 24 hours, if you haven't had a wash in over 24 hours your going to smell its simple, they must know how long it is since they had a shower, if its been a few days they must know they smell, some people just don't care

I've done it with people I knew well or was close too. In both cases I said 'I don't know whether you are aware but you seem to be suffering from bo....or bad breath.

I've had bad breath on occasion and was glad when someone told me because I could then do something about it.

Just tell them, I've had it at work where others have complained and I've had to tell people about their personal hygiene, it's not something I like to do but some things just need to be said

She is a nice lady and seen her the last 3 times I have been sitting waiting at the docs she smell the room out . If I had the guts I would say something .. but not easy thing to do . x

Same here , at work ( we are in retail ) it's a responsibility to do so .

At clubs , we have on occasion asked people to leave due to offensive BO , and it's generally accepted and even had people thank us for telling them as they were unaware .

That's what I did for a bloke I was sharing a house with at Uni. He appreciated it because he'd never used deodourant. I also told him to make sure he was clean before using it as it isn't a shower in a tin

I used to work part time in a gym and had to have a word with a member who stank constantly, even before he'd started and we'd had loads of complaints from other members. All the full time staff asked me as they couldn't do it!

Sweat and smelling is something I worry about all the time as I suffer from hyperhydrosis and have had 3 ops to help. I know in the hight of summer and even if I have had a shower before going into work that at times I smell no matter how much antiperspirant I use. I take baby wipes and clean tops and change as needed. I therefore think it's not necessary down to people being dirty but down to their make up.

was wondering about that myself, have had to stop seeing a man i quite liked, because he had started to smell yet i had seen him 3 times before and he didnt smell then. cheesy knob, he has met other women since meeting me though.

Well last 3 weeks seen her there .. And I am back next week at the same time so after having this not just once but 3 times the smell I will have a go at saying something or should I say to the lady who works there on the desk. ? Makes me feel ill and I am not feeling my best right now .

if the doctor wont say anything to her then i dont see how you can. tell the receptionist. an old lady i used to know said she worked for a ladys doctor and he was moaning about the women being smelly and told her to give them talcum powder to use.
