I've always said that rejection is part of life. It's how you deal with it that matters. I like to think that I handle it well, and try to seek the positive from rejection as "what can I do better next time?"

On here? it's not real rejection. So I don't give a fuck.

A rejection is only a rejection when the "rejectee" thinks it is. It could also simply be seen as "different strokes for different folks" ?

I would guess just about every guy still here after 12 mins is used to it but accepting it? I would say in reality it varies with each day sometimes its what a bugger others its hey ho and the odd time its relief but accepting it is never a problem that's life but I would be a liar if I said I wasn't disappointed at times as I only contact people I am attracted to.

rejection on here can take several forms from people blocking you to unpleasant emails. Luckily I havent suffered either yet (and no thats not a cue for you lot to send me a load of random dear johns )

on here its mostly just about 2 or more people having fun and doing what they all want to do. if someone doesnt want to play then thats cool and just walk on

I think it would depend on what the rejection was to how I would take it. I'm quite a sensitive little soul at heart.

On here I'm not emotionally involved with anyone so can't see being rejected as an issue.

Titz Towers, North Notts

Generally it doesn't bother me as I seldom ask people for a meet, so it's not a factor. However, on the odd time I have requested a meet and feel that I strongly match what they are looking for and then get blown out, I do feel a bit puzzled and deflated. I just build a Voodoo Doll likeness and spend the rest of the week chucking darts at it and sitting on it when I need to fart.

Same for me. I was made to feel like I was attacking my ex if I started anything but the one time I rejected him as I was knackered after a really ling day at work I got it in the neck!!!

It still does affect my forwardness in instigating sex even though I know I won't get the same reaction as before.

I don't care about on this site. But I would never approach anyone in a club. And it is this reason why we have never played I assume. It's all to do with my lack of confidence and fear of rejection. I get so frustrated with myself for not approaching anyone but I just can't, even with a drink in me.

Sometimes we float someone's boat sometimes we don't....it's not an issue. However if getting meets is important to your self esteem then you are likely to take it as a rejection and feel it more.

Being rejected when emotionally involved might make it more difficult to let go and move on.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.. Though I'm sure I've ignored the wisdom behind that many times and on occasion discovered that the fear of failure/rejection is far more crippling than the failure/rejection itself...

Sadly that knowledge probably won't make a massive difference to decisions about future endeavours!
