OK own up, who doesn't always put their food onto a plate?

I'm on about eating out of the cooking container etc, and not just scooping it onto the table or someone's lap!

Right now, I'm eating packet pasta out of a jug

How does that save on washing up? Do you just throw the jug away?

Quite often, especially with sarnies.

Are you meant to put ready meals on a plate? What's the point when they're in their own bowl?!

Chippy chips always taste so much better off the paper although hubby will disagree and insist on having them on a plate

Buy a dishwasher

That said I do eat pasta bake out of the baking dish, put the dish on a plate though as the baking dish is too hot.

Not worried about the dishes though (already bought a dishwasher) keeps it hotter for longer.

baked beans should be consumed directly from the tin, a fork is the only item required and if one has a dog no washing up is required

Nope. But then I have a dishwasher so it matters not a jot what washing up there is. An absolute boon at Christmas! Took me minutes to load it and I could spend more time with the family.
