A can of soup has 100 cals in it. A two finger kitkat has even less. You can eat anything under 250 cals and you'll burn that off just by sleeping. Avoid bread though as it's a carbohydrate.

I've lost 1st since Xmas through watching what I eat but I eat if I'm hungry no matter what time of day or night.

Make sure you always have breakfast as this kick starts your metabolism.

Cheese doesn't sit too well with me at night anymore. I end up on edge and tossing & turning all night. Makes me feel really bleeeurgh! Am ok with it during the day though.
