not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

I ve a small patch of eczema on my back around my belt line, I ve visited my Gp and hes prescribed teroid creams I ve had 3 different creams now each one stronger than the last, I ve been applying them for about 6 months and as soon as I stop within a few days it flares back up, I m reluctant to continually apply steroids to it so

Any homeopathic or non steroid treatments,?

P.S. And if theres a lady who d like to rub my back,, ta.

It may be an allergic eczema in which case try and eliminate what the problem could be, washing powder, fabric of trousers, pants, belt?

Graphites cream works for some and there are various emulsion things you can add to a bath and bathe in which can help.

Tea tree oil, its a natural antiseptic that can be applied to the skin or a few drops in a bath..

I find that very drying and wouldn't use it on eczema, personally.

There's also E45 and similar creams and ointments, however most contain lanolin which some people are allergic to.

Silly question, but do you sit somewhere on a regular basis that might be contaminated with something? I have in mind that scandal a while back about leather furniture that was treated with something (stain protection? cant remember) that was causing people some terrible skin problems.

Im thinking along similar lines, I m at a Head scratching time ( not the most appropriate phrase, !) as i ve not changed anything , I m a bit stumped I ve tried Vaseline and e 45 they don t seem to help,
