Cats, carriers and lofts

Following on from my very exciting post on Thursday moaning about having to get up in the loft to get a cat carrier down, I now face a dilemma.

The cat has been to the vet and it is uncertain if she will need further treatment. The cat carrier is in the way.

So, do I;

a) put the carrier back in the loft, knowing that by law of Sod, as soon as I do that she'll need to go back to the vet

or

b) leave the carrier in the kitchen and continue tripping over it in order to virtually ensure she won't have to go back to the vet, (at least until I put the sodding carrier away)?

Yes, my life really is this boring!

Put it in the middle of the lounge covered in a small blanket/throw.

Hey presto!! A handy footstool/side table for perching your morning mug of tea on!

I already have a coffee table in the middle of the lounge

I suppose I could put the coffee table in the loft to make room for a throw covered cat carrier

There's 11cm between the top of my wardrobe and the ceiling, (I measured it recently to see if I'd be able to stuff boxes of shoes up there), so that won't work. Good plan otherwise

Pop it just inside the front door, under the letterbox with the door of the box open.

Just be sure you don`t get mixed up and have to pay a horrendous vet bill for your junk mail!

I'd notice on the way if not before. The junk mail would be quiet on the way to the vet's. The cat most definitely isn't.

Invite a sub round and see if they can fit in the cat box. Perhaps make it a very small sub. It may not stop you tripping over the box, but it would make them happy.

I bought a harness so I could take my cat out for controlled excercise after she broke her hock joint. On the now thankfully rare occasions she has to go to the vets now, it`s great to just pop the harness on her and leave her in the car untill it`s time for her examination rather than hve her panic in the waiting room.

Any subs I can lure round here will be put to better use doing my housework and massaging my shoulders and feet!
