Moustaches

Why did they go out of fashion, and could they ever make a comeback? You still get various styles but pretty much always accompanied by some other form of facial hair, it just seems strange that they completely fell out of popularity after hundreds of years?

So, do any ladies actually like a strong moustache, and if not, why not, given other facial hair styles seem to be perfectly acceptable for most?

They're still very popular in the US, lots of cowboy types still sport them. I have pic of a 'gathering of the horse whisperer clan' and there's dozens of prime specimens!

I envy that about the American South, there still seems to be a very strong embrace, encouragement and respect for classical masculinity.

I've seen a few elaborate taches in London. I think there was an event there last year. Men of all ages sporting handle bar and Mexican moustaches

It's the West particularly I know, and there are some wonderful traditional values too, some very charming and wise souls.

My friend got Shanghaied into doing Movember and it didn't half interfere with her social life and mine too, as I lost my partner in crime for 3 weeks.

I have a tache. Some people love it, some hate it. Not bothered either way.

I'm going for the pompadour look, short back and sides with long hair on top with a parting, and trying to grow a moustache with a twist on the end. It will lose me a few swings but it's a look that I want to try and pull off. It needs to be a fashion statement to be cool, just a moustache on its own isn't good unless your Tom Seleck.
