So each to there own of course. So from my recent post got me thinking. How many people of you fellow forum folk spend more time typing and less time meeting. Would love to hear your views. Which is for you?

Half my life typing!!!!. Would prefer to exchange a couple of messages with face pics. Then meet for a drink. Then meet for fun. It all seems so simple ....... never happens!

I understand the necessity of a decent conversation in order to establish a connection before meeting someone, but find frequently that the amount of effort you have to make with regards to typing quality posts and messages, often seems to outweigh the amount of potential meets generated as a result.

I like to chat to people after they have been half bored by other people a bit of humorous and a genuine interest in them tends to work wonders. People here are humans after all not autobots.

I spend ages in the forums but as I said we've slowed down on meeting a bit lately.

We all play this game differently

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I'm not on here when I'm meeting. I do end up on here when I get cancelled for a meet - usually on a Friday evening as I am applying my make up.

If it leads to a successful Meet then the typing is worth it

That's true. But for me there are just too many messages sometimes. It's running into double figures sometimes. How many do others send before a meet

As few as half a dozen and a text for a local(ish) social (which may lead on to more)...possibly a hundred plus from those further afield (and it isn't difficult to be further afield than Arse End) as it takes time to organise diaries for a meet...

Usually one or two ... Once it gets past that we realise they are probably fantasists
