Useless gadgets...

Jump to newest

Following on from a thread about soup and someone mentioned having a soupmaker. Got me thinking about useless gadgets we own that are meant to make life easier but actually don't. For example, someone bought us a gadget that cooks boiled eggs. Doesn't work properly and more faffing about than just putting them in a saucepan. So own up, what useless gadgets do you own?

The sandwhich toaster is my most useless gadget. I go through a phase of "I really fancy a toastie" and then not use it for over a yearm

I wouldn't be without my coffee machine. As long as I remember to set it before bed, I come down in the morning to freshly brewed coffee....leaving me free to shout at the kids

That's because you chose the wrong model, the Formby would only work with a cheesy smile and a banjo. Now if you'd bought a Foreman it would have been a knockout....

1) a mop that 'takes the effort out of mopping'.......how does that work then? Bit like the Sorcerer's Apprentice?

2) the hand-held electric can opener I got for Christmas- couldn't open an envelope. Doesn't even dent the tin.

Gosport

As someone that had to replace three juicers within two years I would definitely put most of them into the useless category but only because their not robust enough. It got to the stage that I thought I was going to get banned from returning them at Argos but every time the took back the now dead machine and offered replacements or refunds.

You think you have tears? You should have seen mine when I spent an entire hour searching for it. It was only outside leaning on a lamp post waiting for a certain little lady to come by. I must be the only person with a grill that has a libido.
